Hello Beautiful People!

Winter is officially here!
It has been a bit chilly lately and today in Brisbane for example is a cool cloudy day. Having said that... we still jump on our bike during the day, no difference whether is morning or afternoon... but we still go. Because we love it!

We have a great news for you!
The great news today is that after 4 months of consultations with professional cyclists, professional Italian hand-crafters, physiologists and physiotherapists, we have finally published on Italian Bicycles a sensational resource for you:

"How to choose the most appropriate bike size".
Please find this guide on the link below
http://www.italianbicycles.com.au/how-to-choose-a-bike

Selecting a bicycle size which is the right size for you is a very important step! A wrong size can be quite uncomfortable, perhaps painful or, in very rare cases, even dangerous. But do not panic: we have a terrific solution for you!

For example two or more people with the exact same height might have different weights, postures and most important different inseam, also known as the internal length of your leg.

In light of these notes above, we strongly advise you to measure yourself accurately before choosing the most appropriate frame size available for you at Italian Bicycles.

In a relaxed environment like at home, seek help from a relative, partner or friend and proceed following the instructions described in the guide to avoid biased results.  Should you feel you are not sure about the measurement, consult with us via email at ride@italianbicycles.com.au ...we'd love to help you!

Enjoy a safe & beautiful ride, on a good size & marvelous Italian bike! CIAO!

Hello Everybody! How was your week end?

Well... we are extremely tired today! A beautiful 65km ride along Port of Melbourne and surrounding areas is what we needed after a very busy week...and riding our bicycles yesterday made us feeling sensational!! Best way to get rid of toxins and have fun regardless if you go on your own, with your partner or with a small bunch of friends!

Not the best day to ride today, a bit rainy and wet on the road... we took a safe approach and rode along Port of Melbourne, then through Albert Park and all the way south to Mordialloc. We were happily surprised about how many people were out in spite of the rainy conditions... that was awesome to see! Well done people!

However when the rainy weather approaches (before raining!) it important to remember to: be smart, be safe, be alert. -> Most important make yourself as much visible as you can at anytime during your ride and especially during wet days.
Yesterday we really had to go and get on a bike because we had the urge to try something new... yes! That's right... we had something new! We just received a limited number of the 2012 official Lombardo Corsa racing Jerseys & Salopettes (cycling knicks also known as bib shorts). Manufactured entirely in Italy with the highest quality textile fibers and gel, the racing kit is signed by a world leader brand in cycling clothing, BIEMME Sport, which is now the new Cycling Clothing Sponsor for all Lombardo Corsa teams (all Road and all MTB)

We had so much fun yesterday! The new Lombardo CORSA jersey and knick feel extremely comfortable! Easy to wear... light on your skin... very breathable along every bit of your epidermis (your body surface - we had the best day to try as we sweat a lot in spite of the weather). The most surprising thing about these new Lombardo Corsa racing clothing is how comfortable they are to wear: at times you do not even feel them... the second most surprising thing was the amount of times people looked at us while wearing these... :) we felt like being at the GIRO D'ITALIA!
The official 2012 Lombardo CORSA racing jerseys and knicks are 100% Made in Italy by BIEMME with the highest quality fibers and come to you in the following sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL.

 Find out more here:

We better go now and get some good long rest... after yesterday's ride all we wish to do this morning is enjoying a nice hot chocolate, while treasuring the fantastic moments we had yesterday riding in Melbourne while wearing our new racing kit! Have a great day! Buona Giornata!

Happy Easter!...with a fantastic tip!

Hello Dear Bikers!
How are you coping with the Easter holidays? Are you Camping? Fishing? Climbing? Or....perhaps, are you Cycling?

Well, we are now in that week already where some of you are on holiday, some of you will be on holiday next week and some of you will have to wait until they can get a much deserved break! Hopefully soon.

We have our sensational break everyday! Yes, we do.... we enjoy our breaks everyday thanks to our bicycles. In fact, we reach one of our favorite parks in Melbourne or Brisbane (occasionally in Sydney too!) and then, we open up our bicycle's Pannier Bags full of very tasty gourmet food, pure cold water and other lovely bits and pieces such as books, magazines and of course chocolates!

When we enjoy 1hour or 2hours per day as described above, our mental and physical well being is inundated with peace, love and joy, in a truly great bliss!

It is amazing how small things/actions can make our life healthier, happier and richer! At Italian Bicycles we love to be rich.... rich in time, health, happiness and rich with plenty of cycling action. So long there is a mountain track or a beautiful park road to cycle along every day, our body will not stop living and our mind will not stop treasuring such time.

Italian Bicycles wishes you all a marvelous and relaxed Easter time!
Be safe on the street, be active on your bike. Your body and mental state will be very grateful to YOU! Have Fun! :)

From http://www.italianbicycles.com.au/accessories/italian-bicycles-t-shirts.html

Good Morning everybody!
New Smart & Stylish Italian Bicycles T-shirts, 100% pure Cotton.
Discover a whole new way to feeling young, stylish and invincible sexy with the new Italian Bicycles T-shirts, 100% pure quality cotton with a comfortable slim fit

Wow ...Mid week already... it starts feeling a bit chilly in the morning and this makes your overall riding experience much cooler and probably more fun. Of course plenty of options to protect ourselves from sun, wind, cold, rain... wearing the adequate protection is fundamental while we ride on our lovely bicycles.

However, cycling clothing does not have to stick solely to when you are on your bike. We can certainly take our cycling passion to the next level and share it with friends, family and colleagues.

A nice hat, a groovy stubby cooler or a stylish T-shirt can help spreading the core message of the very many benefits associated with cycling. In doing that we would hope that people close to us will soon choose to embrace cycling, becoming more active and thus, receiving heaps of mental and physical benefits and at the same time, help the environmental cause by reducing nasty pollutants.

Oh, by the way.... do we really need to mention that cycling more often would provide you a substantial saving of $$$$ benefit?

Amazing how much money you can return into your pocket when you take it away from Petrol and Public Transport! You would be surprised!

Cycle more often...your Head,
                             your Body,
                             your Soul,
                             your Planet and
                             your Wallet
...will say THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

See you next time!

Where will you cycle this week end?

Hello and how are you doing this morning? Is now Friday and everybody is now thinking .......
.....YEAHAAAAA...the week is nearly over!!

So, where will you be cycling this week end? City? Park? Off road? The forests?

It is funny how nice and exciting it becomes when we start to plan cycling trips in beautiful places we wish to explore. I have very many friends who plan to ride a bike locally, around the corner or at the park, then I also have some friends who love to plan family rides interstate or in other capital cities. Finally, I do know of some lucky and perhaps to our eyes crazy but not necessarily such, who plan and do bike trip to India, Vietnam and South America....WOW!

So, here is the question, where will you be riding this week end?
Let us know via Facebook or Twitter, share with us your feeling while you rode and don't forget to send us at least 1 picture!

Here below is where we rode last week end..we rode along the Brisbane river from Hamilton to the CBD and back...and guess who we met? ....Find out below...until next time, is CIAO from Italian Bicycles!

Lombardo Vintage AMARCORD - Italian Bicycles since 1952

What is the most beautiful memory you have about riding a bicycle?

We have very many to tell you about...in Sicily along the wineries, in Veneto up on the beautiful Dolomites, along the hilly coasts of Liguria or watching the blue sea and the big drop off in the Amalfi Coast...

...However, in spite of so many places the bike was one and always just the one... it was a LOMBARDO ITALIAN BICYCLE!
